The NI Technical Symposium is an annual graphical system design technical conference where hundreds of leading engineers, educators and scientists convene to learn the latest technology for software-defined systems in test, measurement, and control.
As a Product Marketing Manager on National Instrument’s Software team, Mallori Martin is responsible for the outbound messaging and positioning of NI’s Software and Customer Education Programs. She works with a cross-functional team of product developers and marketers world-wide to create customer-facing collateral, sales enablement materials, and address customer requirements and feedback.
Mallori joined NI in 2007 as an Applications Engineer. From NI Headquarters in Austin, Texas, USA, she supported customers working with LabVIEW and NI’s data acquisition and PXI modular instruments. In 2011, she transitioned to her current role in the Global Marketing Organization, where she has been actively involved in growing the community of NI Certified Professionals and supporting the launch of new training and software offerings from National Instruments.
Mallori holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Texas A&M University.
Neng Poh Kim, Production Test Manager, Robert Bosch
Neng Kim is a test engineer and a CPEng with over 30 years’ experience in production test engineering.Neng has a particular interest and expertise in building test systems and has been involved in the design,build and commission of over 500 test systems which has been used in more than 15 countries.
Chris Farmer, LabVIEW Solutions Architect, Wired-in Software Pty Ltd
Chris is a Certified LabVIEW Architect (since 2008), and has been developing in LabVIEW for almost twenty years. His experiences are broad and include automated test systems for many big players including Robert Bosch, and Cochlear, critical machine vision systems, and many control and monitoring applications with NI’s DAQ and Embedded platforms. Now a senior developer and founder of Wired-in Software – an NI Alliance Partner, Chris continues to build these systems for local and global industry, and also gives back to the LabVIEW community through the running of the Melbourne LabVIEW User Group.
Gobinath Vanan, Technical Marketing Engineer, National Instruments
Gobinath joined National Instruments Penang in 2014 as an ELP Engineer upon completing his engineering degree in Swinburne University of Technology. The Engineering Leadership Program is designed to groom individuals and expose them to work closely with different departments such as R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales. Upon completion, he was offered a position as as a Technical Marketing Engineer. With his technical and communications skills, he will ensure to innovate the region with NI products and platforms.
Holding a Masters Degree in Electronics Engineering, Bruce Liu joined National Instruments as an Applications Engineer in 2011 before moving to the position of Field Sales Engineer, where he focuses specifically on supporting and consulting local customers in academia and research in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. He has a strong background in microwave and RF with other 9 years of experiences specialising in related application spaces. As well as impressive application experience, Bruce possesses extensive NI product knowledge and is also experienced delivering certified NI training courses.
Gerrald gained early hands on experience with NI technology by using LabVIEW for his projects in the BS Electronics and Communications Engineering program at Ateneo de Manila University, in the Philippines. Immediately after graduation in 2011, he underwent a 6-month on-the-job training program in NI Singapore as an Applications Engineer. In this role, he implemented several technical projects in the areas of data acquisition, industrial test and automation. In 2013, he moved on to being a Field Applications Engineer in NI Philippines which has allowed him to engage different companies in the areas of semiconductor manufacturing, wireless technology, embedded system controls as well as the academia. He joined the ANZ team earlier in 2016 and is now based out of Melbourne and focused on supporting NI’s industry customers in Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.
Rejwan obtained his Bachelor of Engineering Degree majoring in mechatronics from the University of New South Wales. He joined National Instruments in 2009 and is currently the Applications Engineering Team Manager. He is a Certified LabVIEW Developer and regularly conducts specialized LabVIEW, TestStand and Data Acquisition training courses for customers throughout Australia and New Zealand. He has also completed various projects involving embedded monitoring and control systems, and has significant interests in the areas of hardware in-the-loop testing,remote monitoring and modular instrumentation.
Mark’s career surrounded by test, measurement and control technology at National Instruments spans over 13 years. His experiences managing technical and communication teams throughout Asia, Oceania, Africa and South East Asia have provided him with a broad and detailed insight into the challenges engineers and scientists are facing, and the innovative approaches they create to solve them using NI solutions. His passion for supporting industry in engineering a better world for us all has seen him manage the marketing programs for ANZ, Southern Africa and South East Asia, the Data Acquisition Program for South East Asia, Africa, Arabia, India, Russia and ANZ, as well as Technical Sales and Consulting Teams. He has delivered keynote and guest presentations at events including NI Technical Symposiums, LabVIEW Developer Days, Cisco Student Summits, Career Fairs for young engineers, and takes an active interest in engaging with students at universities around the world. He is also the co-founder of the annual NI Autonomous Robotics Competition; a premier, annual tertiary level robotics competition in ANZ.
David completed his Degree in Electrical Engineering and with Honours at UTS in Sydney. During the course of his studies, Ore undertook extensive work experience both at the CSIRO (Telecommunications and Industrial Physics) and with United Group Infrastructure. Since joining NI in 2006 Ore has managed the Applications Engineering team, playing a key role in training and mentoring team members and has also been heavily involved in the development of the NI Customer Education Program. Ore now works as a Field-Based Engineer, working on-site with customers on developing solutions for their application requirements across a diverse range of industries including transportation, research, structural test and remote monitoring.
