What does the competition involve?

NI ARC

 

Integration – Building an Autonomous Robotic Vehicle using the National Instruments myRIO platform and the NI LabVIEW development environment.

Task – Complete defined goals in a task within the time limit.

Object Handling- Transport objects from one location to their respective target locations.

Obstacle avoidance - Avoid any obstacles in the robot’s path.

Path Planning - Determine the optimal path to go from one location to a target location.

Localisation - Identifying the robot’s location relative to the track.  

Communicating with Intelligent Devices – wirelessly communicating planned activity.

(Optional) Creativity – Test your imagination and explore what can be achieved using the myRIO and LabVIEW.

(Optional) Aesthetics - Make your robot look good; a prize will also be awarded for the most aesthetically pleasing robot.
